Pop Art inspired

I found a bit of time this morning to craft so I made a card for the very sketchy challenge on the Smeared and Smudged forum.

The papers I have used are all Bazzil, the face stamp is from smeared ink's Prints rubber set and the splotches from their iny dreams rubber set. Both can be found in the Smeared Ink rubber club here. the other stamp that I have used on there is a Tim Holtx one.

There are many fun challenges on the forum so be sure to drop by and have a look :)

Also there is still time to get your entries in for the alter a box challenge at Smudgy antics http://smudgyantics.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/alter-box-with-smudgy-antics-and-sad.html

Lace with Delicious Doodles

For a last minute make I am really pleased with how this turned out. I coloured in the gorgeous steampunk Sally in with watercolour pencils ages ago and she has been sitting in a box waiting for the right project to come along. I thought there is no better time to use her than on a lace card for the new Delicious Doodles challenge.

All of the bits and pieces I have used on this card have come from my stash apart.

I do hope you will come and join us in this weeks challenge.

Left of Center Red and Black

Today begins a new challenge at LOC with a new sponsor, LEJ Designs!  We are so happy to have you sponsor us!

Be sure to stop by and check out the store!

Our challenge is to either create something with a LOC theme and/or make your project primarily red and black!

I have used one of the digi's from LEJ Designs to make this journal page.

I do hope you will pop along and see what what all of the other ladies have made and join in with our challenge.
I am going to enter this into the following challenges

Smeared and Smudged Member blog hop

Oooh I do love a good blog hop and I just know that this one is going to be awesome! There is so much talent over at the Smeared and Smudged forum I have been looking forward to this hop so I can see smoe of the great things being made.
If you haven't started at the top of the blog roll you might want to just to be sure you don't miss anyone out.

Black Dragon
Laura
Kristy
Kapree
Hazel
Kay
Rick
Monique
Rocio
Jane
Shell
Lady Brayton
Fiona
Ike

I have made something a bit different for this hop, the theme is anything goes so I thought what shall I make? Should I do something I've done before and I'm comfortable making? should I keep it simple? or should I do somethin totally out of my comfort zone and that I have never made before? and should I decide to do that just the day before the hop?

Of course you just know I did lol!

I got my sewing machine out and I made me a bag/pouch to keep my markers in when I am on the move.

I started with a piece of fabric from my massive fabric box, I used the sewing maching to put it together so it sort of resembled a bag. The stitches are terrible, not only can't I not cut a straight line I can't sew in one either! When I had stitched it all I added some lace and the fabric flower which is a broach that I made a while ago. Although my stitches aren't exactly pretty they are doing their job and holding the whole thing together nicely. To finish it off I coloured in the Rusalka stamp from smeared ink and stuck it to the front with a bit of lace to frame it.

I do hope you will check out what everyone else has made for this hop.

Smudgy Antics alter a box

Welcome back for another fortnight challenge with Smudgy Antics!
For this challenge we want to see more than just paper and glue.
We want to see dimension and lots of it.
The Smudgy Antics team wants to see you guys and gals
ALTER a BOX.
This is the last week of this challenge.

I have altered a domino box for my piece, I’ve used Tim Holtz craft resist Halloween papers, distress inks and stains. The bats are from smeared ink and can be found here. The other bits are all from my stash.

I am going to be giving this box away along with a few little goodies that I will put inside it.  If you’d like to be in with a chance of receiving this please say so in the comments below.

I do hope you will be able to alter a box and join us with this challenge.
